AirHost: Tell us about your facilities.
Namba Ebisu Hotel: Namba Ebisu Hotel is a hotel with the motif of “Ebisu”, the deity of the Imamiya Ebisu Shrine. It is located in “Shin-Imamiya” where the construction of a new facility for Hoshino Resorts is currently underway. While trying to save labor by introducing pre-check-in form, self-check-in, and IoT lock, we are trying to provide energetic and cheerful customer service that is full of Osaka-like humanity.
Toys Court Tenka Chaya: Toys Court Tengachaya, which is managed by the same AirHost account, is a private lodging property located in the quiet residential area “Tengachaya” in Osaka. This is a completely unmanned facility that uses the “advance check-in form” where you can enter your guest information and password online. Located in the suburbs, it is completely unmanned, so those who are careful about the new coronavirus and those who are rarely famous will stay. Although it has a very spacious 1LDK floor plan, it is offered at a very low price compared to other private lodging properties of the same size.

AirHost: How did you get to know about AirHost?
Namba/Toys Court: When I was looking for a system that could manage not only private lodgings but also hotels under the management policy of “unmanned and labor-saving”, I felt that Airhost was providing a system that fits our needs perfectly. We emphasized IoT lock cooperation, self-check-in, and abundance of OTAs that can be linked.

AirHost: What does your staff have to say regarding the usability of the AirHost system?
Namba/Toys Court: A staff member with long experience working at a hotel who has used a major site controller from another company also says, “You can operate it so that you can reach the itch!” You can change assignments by dragging and dropping, send automatic messages, export guest lists, and many other useful features.

AirHost: What kind of effect did the local check-in flow have?
Namba/Toys Court: At Namba Ebi Hotel, customers can check in by themselves using the four tablets at the front desk, so even if there is only one staff member, up to four groups of customers can check in at the same time. So I am saved. We do not have night staff, but we allow customers to check in and check out on their own tablets even at night.
Namba/Toys Court: Toys Court Tenka Chaya asks for self-check-in using the pre-check-in form. When the reservation is confirmed, the pre-check-in form is automatically generated and automatically sent to the customer, which saves a lot of trouble. By using the automatic message function, you can freely change the sending frequency, such as immediately after booking, one week before your stay, or three days before your stay.
Namba/Toys Court: The smart locks installed in both properties are extremely secure in terms of security because the validity period of the pin code is created according to the check-in / check-out time.

AirHost: Has there been any changes in the responses and reviews from guests since the AirHost system was introduced?
Namba/Toys Court: In the midst of the epidemic of the new coronavirus, being able to respond unattended is beneficial to both staff and customers. Some customers say that check-in is completed on a tablet and that it is “awesome” or “high-tech.”

AirHost: Do share with us your vision for your facilities in the future.
Namba/Toys Court: As we strengthen our operations using AirHost, we are also interested in using the booking engine released last fall.
As with OTA, it can be centrally managed by the air host, so I think that various troubles can be saved. We are positively considering the introduction because we can get high-margin direct reservations without OTA fees and the monthly running cost seems to be reasonable.
