LionCity Hospitality is aiming to create a homie environment so all backpackers over the world could come and join. Every guest can be treated as a family member, enjoy the conversation, learn and share with each other. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation of their hostels has been changed due to some restrictions and safety issues; however, LionCity Hospitality is working hard to make sure their guests always feel at home regardless of changes.

AirHost: Please share with us the specialty of your hotel.
LionCity: We are running a few hostels in Singapore. Backpackers coming from all over the world are treated like family in our hostels. We always try to create a conversation to let guests from different countries have a topic to start with each other. We are very kind and we talk to guests to understand their problems to tackle what is needed in the industry. This is how we make a difference. 

AirHost: Please tell us about your property’s situation during the pandemic. 
LionCity: During Covid-19 pandemic, 50% of beds were cut off due to some restriction has been applied. For example, City Backpackers we used to have 66 beds but now we have to cut it down to 33 beds. So definitely there is an impact in our business. We currently only welcome foreigners, work permit workers, and some local guests at the moment.

AirHost: Please share the reasons why you decided to introduce the AirHost system to your hostel operation.
LionCity: We got introduced by an AirHost staff member that AirHost has a support promotion for SME Hospitality business during the Pandemic, so we thought it was a good occasion for us to try out the product.

AirHost: Please share with us how AirHost has supported your business since the system was introduced.

LionCity: AirHost eases my operation because it always has an accurate number on my allotment. Also, I don’t have to come up with another system for invoicing as there is an automated invoicing system from AirHost. And AirHost’s staff was very helpful. Whenever I need help for random booking that comes in, when I ask them, they are very responsive. Thank you very much for this. We could cut the cost for the system as the AirHost system supported us during the Covid-19. 

AirHost: Do share with us your vision for your facility in the future.
LionCity: I hope the Covid-19 will end sooner so all the businesses in the world can be back to normal. We will do what is needed as the situation shifts. We have been very flexible since the Covid-19 started and so we will be always flexible to change. Thank you so much for AirHost’s support.
