Our Identity, Our Story
Established Property Management Company
Back in 2015, after graduating from the State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook, the two more-than-20-year-long-classmates Ziwei and Takashi had established their third companies together with Kenichi, a good friend and also a business owner of restaurant branches in Japan. Initially, Takashi and Kenichi would set up all cleaning crew, guest service and find properties in the Metro area while Ziwei would handle the technical process of reservations to rent out those properties.
Later, other Airbnb hosts heard what they were doing and sought for these three founders’ support due to language barriers. Since then, their objective switched to mainly support Airbnb owners in managing their properties.
Managed more than 300 properties!
Up until 2017, as their business grown, the three co-founders were pretty overwhelmed with serving guests' requests, arranging bookings, cleaning and property management.
At this time, their company helped to manage more than 300 properties.
HMS Founded & Japan Minpaku Law Challenge!!
A new law regulating short-term stays at privately owned homes for a fee, called "minpaku" in Japan, went into effect June 15, 2017 but due to the complicated process of becoming an authorized minpaku operator, we lost 90% of clients by June 15, 2018.
Right before the Minpaku Law change was announced, the three friends had seen the need to switch gear, and had already started to develop a hospitality management software (HMS) for hotels.
Managed more than 6,000 properties!!!
The company welcomed dynamic and diverse supporting team members from Japan, Singapore, China, Philippines and Vietnam. At this point, we served more than 6,000 properties of more than 200 companies.
Our Management System could help Covid-19!!!!
The year 2020 is perhaps a crucial challenge not only for AirHost but for the world hospitality industry which is heavily affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. However, we are happy that our management solutions “contactless system" could support our clients efficiently. Earlier this year, we were honor to be awarded as 2020 Connectivity Premier Partner from Booking.com as well.
